About Us

We are a group of volunteers committed to serving the ill, elderly or frail

from the beginning of a health challenge to the end of life including the dying process.

​

Our Story

The Circle of Friends has been serving the local community for several decades. 

It started with a couple of friends wanting to ease the stress of illness and old age for other friends.  Over the years we have become more organized and mature. 

We became a California public non-profit in 2016. 

​

Our resources include:

  • Medical equipment and supplies listed in a lending website.

  • A team of volunteers who help with rides and meals.

  • Coordination of services with an online volunteer sign up page.

  • Help with working with friends living with dementia and support to caregivers.

  • End of Life documentation support including Personal Arrangements Guide; referrals to trust attorneys and education about this process.

  • Transition Helpers during end of life to support the friend dying and their family and friends. 

  • This website is a resource for the community - it is a repository of important educational articles on Caregiving, Emergencies, GeneralEducation, End of Life and local Resources.
